Jeff Harms

Jeff is the Co-President and Treasurer at Harms Oil Company and is currently responsible for the teams that oversee fuel sales, dispatching, supply, accounting and HR. Jeff graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Following college, Jeff spearheaded the formation of investment groups to construct and operate 5 motel properties in South Dakota, Iowa, and Colorado. He joined Harms Oil Company in 2002 to develop customer solutions and build long-lasting, loyal relationships throughout the Midwest. Jeff has served as President of the Boys and Girls Club of Brookings as well as the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce.
Jason Harms

As Co-President and Secretary, Jason is responsible for retail store operations and the transport group responsible for delivery of fuels and other types of hazardous materials. Jason graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering going on to work as a Process Engineer for 3M in Aberdeen before joining Harms Oil in 2004. Outside of work, Jason serves on the Board of Directors of the South Dakota Retailers Association and has previously served the United Way, Junior Achievement and Boys & Girls Club organizations.

Jennifer serves as Co-President and General Manager for the Omaha and Des Moines region at Harms Oil. Jennifer graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and received her law degree from University of Nebraska Lincoln. Jennifer practiced law through 2001 and then returned to the family business. Jennifer has been active in the Nebraska Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association and became the first female Chairman of the Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Stores of Iowa in 2008.
Duane Harms

Duane is the Founder of Harms Oil Company and continues to serve on the Board of Directors. Duane graduated from South Dakota State University in 1969 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Following his military commitment, Duane went to Indiana to work for Standard Oil Company. In 1976 he relocated to Aberdeen, SD to purchase an Amoco bulk fuels delivery business and founded Harms Oil. Throughout his business career, Duane has held numerous state and community board and leadership positions.

Roxanne has been with James Oil since 1996. She handles accounts receivable and payable and other administrative duties. You can find her in the office Monday – Friday 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Roxanne lives in Carlisle with her husband, Mike. They have 2 sons, David and Daniel and 1 daughter, Melinda.

Bret came to James Oil in 2005 with 16 years’ transport driver experience. Bret lives outside Indianola with his significant other, Beth. Bret has 1 son, 1 daughter, and 4 grandchildren.
